We also continue to offer tailor-made programmes for technical and vocational school graduates as well as professionals, especially in the engineering field. There are six to eighteen months certificate programmes accredited by various bodies such as the Ghana Technical Education Unit and NACVET. Also in our offer of programmes are professional courses by bodies such as CILT, ACCA, CIM and others.

Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate in a relevant field with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
Applicants must have at least two (2) years post-HND qualification working experience.

All foreign qualifications must be referred to the National Accreditation Board (NAB) by the applicant, for the determination of the equivalences and eligibility for admission into tertiary institutions in Ghana.     Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level credit passes including English language, mathematics and any Science related subjects.
  • SSSCE/WASSCE APPLICANTS
  1. SSSCE applicants must have credit passes (A – D) in SIX (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects: English Language, Integrated Science and Mathematics; and three (3) elective subjects which must be relevant to the following specialised areas:

Three (3) passes in SLT Part I. Credit will be an advantage.

  1. TEACHER APPLICANTS
  • Four (4)-year Certificate ‘A’. OR
  • Three (3)-year Post Secondary Teacher’s Certificate. AND
  • Four (4) credit passes in GCE ‘O’ Level/SSSCE/WASSSCE including English Language and Mathematics. AND
  • At least a minimum of one (1) year teaching experience. AND
  • Applicants must have Science background to qualify for the HND Science Laboratory Technology programme.                               

2. MATURE APPLICANTS 

Candidates must be at least twenty-five (25) years old, and must show proof of age with birth certificates or any legitimate documentary proof. In addition, applicants must pass the Mature Entrance Examinations to be conducted in English Language, Mathematics, General Knowledge and General Knowledge in Subject Area. The mature candidate must have the relevant working experience in the subject area.

3. FOREIGN APPLICANTS

All foreign qualifications must be referred to the National Accreditation Board (NAB) by the applicant, for the determination of the equivalences and eligibility for admission into tertiary institutions in Ghana. HND COMPUTER SCIENCE (FULL TIME ONLY)

DURATION: Three (3) years
gce ‘a’ level applicants

  1. Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and any science related subject. and
  2. Two (2) GCE ‘A’ Level passes in any numerate subjects such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics Geography or Accounting. A pass in General Paper will be an advantage.
    SSSCE/WASSCE APPLICANTS
  3. SSSCE applicants must have credit passes (A – D) in SIX (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, English Language, Integrated Science, Mathematics, and Elective Mathematics; and two (2) relevant elective subjects.

WASSCE applicants must have credit passes (A1 – D7) in SIX (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, English Language, Integrated Science, Mathematics, and Elective Mathematics; and must possess a minimum of C6 in any two (2) relevant elective subject areas.

  1. OTHER APPLICANTS

i. A minimum of two (2) passes in Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) in Information Technology (WAEC) plus four (4) GBCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Science. OR

ii.Technician Certificate in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognised higher institution plus GCE ‘O’ Level/SSSCE/WASSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Science. OR
iii.City and Guilds certificate in Information Technology or Data Processing

In addition, applicants must pass the Mature Entrance Examinations to be conducted in English Language, Mathematics, General Knowledge and General Knowledge in Subject Area. The mature candidate must have the relevant working experience in the subject area.

Four (4) GCE ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics or Statistics and any other numerate subject such as Economics, Geography, Accounting.

  1. SSSCE / WASSCE APPLICANTS

SSSCE applicants must have credit passes (A – D) in SIX (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects: English Language, Integrated Science and Mathematics; and three (3) elective subjects including Elective Mathematics and any two (2) of the following elective subjects:

NB: Applicants without Elective Mathematics but with ‘A1’ or ‘B2’ and its equivalent in Core Mathematics would be considered on the strength of their elective subjects.

  5. SSSCE applicants must have credit passes (A – D) in SIX (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science; and three (3) elective subjects which must relevant to the area of specialisation.
  6. WASSCE applicants must have credit passes (A1 – D7) in SIX (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science; and must possess a minimum C6 IN ANY three (3) elective subjects relevant to the area of specialisation.

Passes in Six (6) relevant subjects comprising three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science/Social Studies), plus three (3) passes in relevant elective subject areas.

3. INSTITUTIONAL MANAGEMENT (IM) APPLICANTS

  • Institutional Management (IM) Certificate.AND
  • GCE ‘O’ level / SSSCE / WASSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and
  • Integrated Science, plus a minimum of one (1) year working experience in relevant area.
    4. TEACHER APPLICANTS
  • Four (4) or Two (2) years Certificate ‘A’. OR

SSSCE applicants must have credit passes (A – D) in SIX (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, English Language, Integrated Science or Social Studies (whichever is better) and Mathematics; and three (3) elective subjects in the area of specialisation.

Applicants must pass all subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science in the NAPBTEX Access Course plus technician certificate to qualify.

CERTIFICATE II APPLICANTS
Passes in Six (6) relevant subjects comprising three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science/Social Studies), plus three (3) passes in relevant elective subject areas.

TEACHER APPLICANTS

  • Four (4)-year Certificate ‘a’. OR
  • Three (3)-year Post Secondary Teacher’s Certificate AND
  • Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and two (2) science subjects or four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and two science subjects. AND

TECHNICIAN APPLICANTS

  • EET Part I certificate plus EET II certificate.OR

  • EET I certificate plus credit passes in SSSCE/WASSCE Core Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science.

PRE-HND (ACCESS COURSE) APPLICANTS
Applicants must pass all subjects (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science) in the NAPBTEX Access Course plus technician certificate.

CERTIFICATE II APPLICANTS
Passes in Six (6) relevant subjects comprising three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science/Social Studies), plus three (3) passes in relevant elective subject areas.

TEACHER APPLICANTS

  • Four (4)-year Certificate ‘a’ OR
  • Three (3)-year Post Secondary Teacher’s Certificate AND
  • Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level/SSSCE/WASSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and two (2) Science related subjects AND
  • A minimum of three (3) years teaching experience AND
  • Must have Science/Mathematics/Engineering background from the Training College.
    First degree in relevant area from a recognized institution.

MATURE APPLICANTS
Candidates applying as mature students must be at least twenty-five (25) years old, and must show proof of age with birth certificates or any legitimate documentary proof. In addition, applicants must pass the Mature Entrance Examinations to be conducted in English Language, Mathematics, General Knowledge and General Knowledge in Subject Area. The mature candidate must have the relevant working experience in the subject area.

FOREIGN APPLICANTS
All foreign qualifications must be referred to the National Accreditation Board (NAB) by the applicant, for the determination of the equivalences and eligibility for admission into tertiary institutions in Ghana. All foreign applicants are expected to show proof of their registration or possession of the Non-Citizen Ghana card, issued by the National Identification Authority (NIA), Ghana.

HND BUILDING TECHNOLOGY (FULL TIME & PART TIME)
DURATION: Three (3) years

GCE ‘A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

  • Two (2) GCE ‘A’ Level passes. A pass in General Paper will be an advantage AND
  • Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics plus two (2) subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Additional Mathematics, Economics, Geography

SSSCE/WASSCE APPLICANTS

  • SSSCE applicants must have credit passes (A – D) in SIX (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science; and three (3) relevant elective subjects such as Elective Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, Metal Work, Technical Drawing, Wood Work and Building Construction.
