The Premier Polytechnic in Ghana has picked up an International award for Excellence in Best Practices 2016. This was in recognition of their outstanding commitment and results in quality management strategies, during the annual convention of the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).
At Brussels to receive the award for the Institution were Dr. Hannah Taylor Abdulai, a Senior lecturer and head of the Department of Secretaryship and Management Studies, Mr. David Sarpong Jnr, a Senior lecturer with the Accountancy department and convocation representative on the Polytechnic Council and Ms. Fausta Ganaa, a Senior Assistant Registrar and head of the Public Relations Department.
The ESQR convention and awards organized at one of Brussels prestigious hotels, le Plaza, witnessed business organizations and leaders, academic institutions and experts, from Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Australia receive awards in the same category.
The European Awards for Best Practices program takes a comprehensive look at the initiatives and strategies that leaders implement in their companies and organizations; it recognizes the efforts of exceptional and talented employers and employees and provides motivation for continuous progress.
Other award winners who participated from Ghana included Ghana Telecom University, Royal Bank Ghana, University of Education, Winneba and University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa.
The European Society for Quality Research (ESQR), based in Lausanne (Switzerland), handles strategic questions in quality management and promotes quality culture and continuous improvement in quality through its annual conventions.
